When is program?

Program takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm.

What is Program?

Currently, we serve teens enrolled in 6th - 12th grade with after school and summer programs. These take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights throughout the year and may involve outings or activities on other days of the week. Our mission is to transform lives by empowering teens to have hope for their future, while providing unconditional love and guidance along the way.

We believe teens are in need of guidance and empowerment in the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and intellectual realms. In order to provide this holistic support to each teen, Quincy House offers Program in two parts: Group Nights and Real Talk Nights. Contact us at the link below to get your son or daughter involved at Quincy!

What Are Group nights?

Group night takes place at the Quincy House or the Mounds View Community Center and is a time to play games, meet together as a Quincy family and enjoy a family style dinner.

We have a huge backyard with a sport court that includes basketball, volleyball and pickle ball playing surfaces. Teens enjoy yard games, ping pong, fuse ball, card games and board games as well. Each Group night is led off with a game before we meet.

Next, our whole Quincy family meets upstairs for a teaching time from our Program Manager. We watch videos and cover topics to empower our teens to live with more purpose and take ownership of their well being.

Finally we share meals in our Mess Hall which are donated to Quincy House by members of our community. This is a time for our students to have conversation and reflect on their night as we sit around the table. Help nourish our teens during our Group nights! See our sign up below for details!

What are Real Talk Nights?

Real Talk night takes place at the Quincy House and is a time for our teens to play games, reflect on their weeks and have dinner. The structure of these nights are the same as that of Group nights, except instead of meeting as a full group, we break into smaller support groups. We call this time Real Talk.

During Real Talk, teens reflect on their week and share their emotions in a trusted group. Our teens learn to grow from one another and learn practical skills to build confidence, self-esteem, coping skills and trust!

Speakers

Every first Tuesday of the month, Quincy House brings in a speaker to Group night to share their testimony and to give a message on the current teaching series. If you have a story to share or ideas for who would be a good speaker for our teens, click the link below to contact us.

Mic Night

The last Thursday of each month, Quincy hosts Mic Night, a time for our teens to share their gifts and accomplishments with each other. We set up a stage in our garage, give our teens a mic, and sit back and watch the show!

All-in Meetings

All-In meetings occur on the last Tuesday of each month. Seniors meet apart from the rest of our group to prepare for life after high school. Visit our All-In page to learn more about All-In.

Each winter our Quincy boys have a basketball team that practices on Thursday nights and plays on Saturday mornings. Games will be posted on the schedule as information becomes available. Everyone is welcome to come cheer us on!

Middle School program

Our Middle School Program is currently incorporated with our High School Program on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Events

At Quincy House we strive to give our teens opportunities to have fun outside of our house as well as inside. We typically take kids to summer camp, sporting events, retreats and shows in the area. Check out the video below of our teens enjoying Timber Wolf Lake Young Life Camp.
